Weightlifting saved my life! I was sitting in health class being instructed on the importance of nutrition and athletic performance and the symptoms of eating disorders. I knew I struggled with my relationship wth food but I never knew what an eating disorder was and that I was destroying myself. I approached my teacher for help; I knew if I kept doing what I was doing I wouldn't be successful in weightlifting. This journey was not an easy one for me but weightlifting kept me on a better path until I got injured my senior year. It took several years and near death for me to get the help I really needed. I've been recovered since 2006 and now share my story and hope with all who want to listen. I have a passion in teaching and coaching a balanced life, physically, mentally, and spiritually. My journey led me to coach life and to see my athletes as people first. To stress injury prevention and overall health/longevity for my athletes. I went on to study yoga to strengthen my knowledge with balanced living. I learned how to perform and teach several types of breathing, and ways to mentally prep for ultimate sports performance.
